WACA partnered with an Indian foundry and machine shop aiming to expand into the North American market. After evaluating the company’s production strengths—primarily high-volume, low-variation runs—we conducted a detailed capability assessment and market analysis. We identified strategic opportunities in oil & gas, power transmission, and general industry sectors. Accompanying the client on in-person meetings with key prospects, we presented both their manufacturing potential and WACA’s operational support. This collaborative approach secured a recurring order of 20,000 parts annually in the oil & gas sector. We oversaw part development, managed sample approvals, and established a streamlined supply and stocking process to support ongoing delivery.
A Georgia-based sports company with a patented product design approached WACA after facing production and cost inefficiencies domestically. Our first priority was to safeguard the integrity of their design while developing a resilient supply chain. We built a sourcing and production strategy centered around selecting qualified suppliers, with final assembly based in the U.S. to mitigate geopolitical and logistical risks. We also proposed a dual supply chain model to provide flexibility. WACA additionally handled warehousing with fulfillment based on order demands. This end-to-end solution restored cost control, protected IP, and ensured consistent product delivery.
WACA collaborated with a long-term client in the oil & gas industry requiring high-spec, cost-effective components. The parts demanded exacting standards in mechanical properties, chemical composition, and heat treatment. We explored multiple manufacturing methods—casting, forging, and bar machining—and selected the most viable approach. For over three years, we’ve supplied these parts without quality issues while maintaining inventory at our Dayton, OH warehouse. This local stocking system has minimized lead times and allowed the client to operate with zero on-hand inventory, improving their cash flow and responsiveness.
An oil & gas customer with a patented low-volume, high-mix oil well component sought WACA’s expertise. Upon receiving the RFQ, we identified discrepancies between existing drawings and the master sample. After a detailed technical comparison, we successfully persuaded the client to update their designs to align with actual production needs. WACA then designed fixtures, gauges, and tooling tailored to the new specs. We produced and delivered first-article samples, secured client approval, and implemented a robust production control plan. Today, we supply these specialized components reliably and without interruption.
WACA facilitated the entry of a Chinese manufacturer’s goods into the U.S. through the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) in Laredo, Texas. Our objective was to reduce import costs and streamline delivery to both U.S. and Mexican markets. After issuing a competitive RFP and evaluating several logistics providers, we selected a top-tier partner based on their FTZ expertise, pricing, and operational strength.
The project involved end-to-end coordination—from customs clearance and freight forwarding to FTZ warehousing and cross-border distribution. By utilizing the FTZ, the client deferred customs duties, reduced total landed costs, and gained faster access to U.S. and Mexican customers. This initiative showcased WACA’s ability to drive global logistics strategies while enhancing client competitiveness in international markets.
